We explain everything to you in easy-to-understand language so you can leave the legalese to us. You’ll understand what each step of the process is about. It’s our core service to help you understand clearly what you are signing, and agreeing to, including home buying loans.

Why a Conveyancer?

Conveyancers specialise in Property Law and have specific training and skills relating to the Sale and Purchase of real estate, associated transactions, leases, subdivisions, and refinancing. As registered Conveyancers in New Zealand, we must comply with strict registration requirements set by the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers, including carrying Professional Indemnity insurance to protect our clients. Kirstin Appleton (Kirsty), Director, Convey Legal

While working for a conveyancing business in Whangarei a gap in the Property Law marketplace was exposed by the number of clients unable to attend appointments during office hours. Convey Legal was instituted to remedy this shortfall and offers a personalised professional conveyancing service to you at a time that suits you.

Born and bred in Whangarei, Kirsty’s passion for property law grew out of a land development her family undertook, and the realisation of the complexities behind the apparent exterior of buying and selling property. It was much more lively and interesting than the law direction she had initially chosen to study and she switched to Property Law. Today with eight years’ experience as a qualified professional and running her own conveyancing practice for the last few years in Whangarei and North Shore, Kirsty’s passion is to help clients understand the intricate legal process involved in making what is for most people the biggest decision of their lives.

When she’s not shadowing your property deals, Kirsty loves to get out on the water and chase the elusive Marlin, but mostly she enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and extended family. Based in beautiful McLeod Bay at Whangarei Heads, her office is peaceful, the views impressive, and the professional knowledge worth the drive. It’s a good half hour from central Whangarei, so if you can’t come out, remember, the service will come to you.  Either way, the property deal will be executed with professional savvy.
